Can I request a custom photography tour for a private group?

Absolutely! We understand that each group may have unique preferences. Contact us, and we’ll work with you to create a customized photography tour tailored to your group’s interests and schedule.

Can I bring other people on my Istanbul Photo Tour?

Our Istanbul Photo Tours are private so it will be you and our photographer. But if you have a traveler friend with you, please inform us. One additional friend is free of charge. If you are more photographers please ask for additional fee.

What equipment should I bring?

For each tour (even one day or a week) our photographer will send you an equipment list and camera settings PDF. But for a more efficient shooting a camera (DSLR, mirrorless or prosumer). Depending on the route our photographer will inform you about the lenses you’ll need.

For some night photography tours you’ll need  a tripod and a cable release or remote are not necessary but would be useful. If you have a polarizer, ND filters (for ND a tripod is needed) or a flash and you want to learn more about them, you can bring them along.

Can I rent camera, lens or tripod?

Our photographer, Cenk GENÇDİŞ, is the international brand ambassador of OM System in Turkey. So you can rent OM System body and lenses from him for a nominal cost. He can also rent a Manfrotto tripod.

Are accommodations included in the tour packages?

Accommodations are not included in our Istanbul Photo Tours to provide flexibility for participants. However, we are more than happy to provide recommendations for nearby accommodations that suit your preferences and budget. For other tours (Turkey, India, Nepal etc) we provide everything excluding flight tickets. (If you want we can also arrange flight tickets as well)

What happens if it rains?

We believe that every weather condition has it’s own beauty (such as capturing reflections in puddles, heightened contrast in night photography, and capturing unique movements). Ofcourse for some of them it’s a little bit hard to walk around. So our tours proceed as scheduled, regardless of the weather conditions.

Shooting in inclement conditions allows our photographers to impart valuable knowledge on overcoming obstacles and how to think creatively. However, if an alternative tour date is preferred and availability permits, we are pleased to offer the option of rescheduling at no additional cost.

Can I buy a photo tour as a gift?

You can share a photo journey as a memorable experience. You can book any tour you want and share the booking info with your friend (we can send you a gift voucher also).

When the recipient reach out us with the gift voucher, we’ll work closely with them and reschedule the tour for a date that suits both parties.

This way, you can still give the gift of an incredible tour experience through Photo Focus Turkey.
